Using QR Codes? Try This…

Nonprofit Tech for Good shares “6 Innovative QR Code Strategies for Nonprofits” (5-minute read), exploring creative uses of QR codes to enhance engagement ranging from showcasing giving impact to local outreach and enriching event experiences. Pro Tip (from a recent experience): If content containing the QR code is likely to be received on a mobile device (e.g., via email, text, etc.), send a link (use Bitly to shorten) instead of or in addition to the QR code. Why? It will be difficult (impossible?) for the recipient to scan the QR code on the same device that received the QR code.

Automating Door Locking, Unlocking

Worship Facility shares “Unlocking Efficiency: First Presbyterian Church’s Transformation” (5-minute read), showcasing how the church enhanced operations by integrating eSPACE with its Brivo access management system. This automation streamlined HVAC and door lock scheduling, reducing management time from 8 hours per week to just 15 minutes weekly, allowing staff to focus more on ministry activities.

Live Stream Encoding Best Practices

Resi shares “Encoding best practices for live streaming in 2025” (5-minute read), providing an overview of recent encoding trends in codec standards and local versus cloud-based encoding. The article makes recommendations for choosing codecs, bitrates, frame rates and keeping audio and video in sync.

E-Missionary Conference 2025

4ME hosts its 3rd annual “E-Missionary Conference 2025” in Richmond, Virginia, and online on July 18-19, 2025.
